This is well done. I just saw him and his band in Portland, sort of promoting the new Album and it rocked. He played some “classics” and also a good mix from “Blood of Man”. I didn’t have the CD at the time, but it is a great artist that can make you love the song at first sound. I vividly remember “The Field” and “Blood of Man” even though I had never heard them before. I remember his face.

Nice short… great introduction to this album. It is always nice to see an artist write, perform, and produce their own work. These albums always provide a nice balance to most of the other stuff you listen to these days.
Everything I love …
Everything I love about Mason is summed up by, when describing The Field, he says “[ktch] he cuts right to…”. He said “he”, not “I”, as if he’s just relaying someone else’s story rather than singing words he wrote. I adore that. I love both his insanely personal songs and his story-songs that brilliantly capture life from someone else’s perspective (Duluth, Birds Flying Away, Adrian, Jackson Square, etc.). Superb.

wow wow wow. this album looks like its going to be soo great. at first when i heard that the album was leaning to the rock side i was skeptical, because i love masons picking and strumming. but this sounds so incredible. mason is such a genuine artist whos whole heart goes into his work, and i think this new album is going to blow us away
