I may only be 15 years old, but I am very serious about becoming a film director. I have been searching the internet trying to find some tips, but I have not found anything worthwhile, so if anyone could give me something, that would be great. Also, if anyone could tell me how I would go about getting a meeting with a film production company about pitching a movie idea? Thanks

I think it’s called ‘you think you know it all’ or something similar to that, part of the film is set on jeju island basically it is about a film director getting into awkward situations, its all quite sad.

Paying a nonprofit Executive Director a stipend: what are the tax issues?

Person X is the unpaid Executive Director of a small nonprofit organization in Illinois. She’s requested $500 to help cover personal expenses.

Would this be considered a stipend? Should she invoice the nonprofit? What issues need to be considered in order to do this in accordance with any tax or legal parameters?
The issue is that the non profit isn’t big enough to pay a salary. However, it could compensate something "here and there" while working on its over all stability.

No unusual tax requirements for the nonprofit. If they pay a stipend, salary, or honorarium to anyone, the individual who receives it must count it as ‘income" and they must include it as such on their income tax return. If that person can apply any deductions to that income depends on their circumstances.

Simpsons Shorts: 6.5, cute but not great
Season 1: 7.5, great but it still doesn’t attract much attention
Season 2: 8.0, slowly getting better
Season 3: 9.0 Brilliant, just brilliant
Season 4: 9.5 Was I put on earth just to watch this show?
Season 5: 10.0 I think I was!
Season 6: 9.0 Um…
Season 7: 8.5 OK, what’s going on?
Season 8: 7.5 This isn’t so funny anymore…
Season 9: 6.5 Oh no!
Season 10: 5.5 Why did this have to happen?!?
Season 11: 4.0 Oh no, it’s a monster!
Season 12: 4.0 Um, hasn’t really changed…
Season 13: 3.0 Oh dear…
Seasons 14-17: 2.0 What on earth is happening?!?
Seasons 18 and up: 1.0 Why, WHY!?!?
Yeah, speaks for itself. What ever happened? People keep saying they ran out of ideas, but I’ve seen some ideas in these new episodes that, with a large amount of polishing, could actually be good! Isn’t it true that comedy has infinite possibilities too? I also noticed that they’ve kept a large amount of writers and directors. Please tell me, do you know what’s gone wrong?

what happens with most successful things is that in the beginning the do the good stuff to become famous and such, then after theyve cemented there reputation they BS for as long as possible, squeezing every last dollar out of it until they cant fool anyone anymore.

Should I put in my two weeks notice?

I missed a mandatory meeting, the policy states you get a full point for missing these meetings and this will put me up to 8.5 out of 9…I won’t argue my points & i’ll take the point for missing the meeting, (I’m in school from 8am-8pm studying) this is why I can’t make most of these meetings even though they emphasized to still make them.

This is the 2nd one I’ve missed in a row & I already spoke to HR about it & they said you can miss as many up to 9 points so that gives me some relief, but my manager told me she would most likely term me if I missed another…

I’m about to take it up with the director instead of her…Or should I just go into the office and say this is my two weeks?

Talk with the director and if their position stays the same- tell them you enjoyed working for them and unfortunately, you can no longer fulfill the job requirements. Make sure not to burn any bridges, tell them you are giving them notice, so they can find someone who can fulfill the job requirements. It would probably be beneficial if you tell them you would appreciate it if they would keep you in mind if the terms change.

You should join the AV club. You can learn through that club

You can learn that way how to produce a movie/video and also how to run equipment like cameras etc… I also recommend you buy books and study up.
