I’m using Flash to create it and have imported voiceover clips as MP3s. I plan to make an EXE file so it will open on any PC easily, but when I import into Director (8.0), the sound is not working. What do I do? Is there a better way to do this? I know I can create a "Projector" in Flash when I publish to make it an EXE file, but when I go to open that file, it brings up a message asking a question about opening the file and I can’t have that happen when someone would go to open my CD – that would confuse them. They need to have the file open with no messages or questions as soon as they pop in that CD. Please help!

The Projector of flash alone is not enough to run it automatically when you inserted a cd or click on it.

1. First make sure u have the .exe projector/stand alone flash file.

2. If I where u, if u had a cd who runs automatically when u inserted it well go to the destination of the cd at my computer then right click on it and click open. Then you can see a file will autorun.inf.

3. Copy the autorun.inf and edit the content its so easy.

4. Then Burn the cd you want with nero or xp itself with the .exe file or projector file and the autorun.inf. It will surely run.

Hope I helped ^_^ hehe see yah!

Do you just go in, join the group and then work up the ranks? Is it possible for someone to join an amateur theatre group and become director straight away, perhaps if they have some directing experience?
The other day i saw an add for a group saying they always welcome new members from actors to backstage hands. I’ve directed short films (now have a degree in film production) and thought about maybe having ago at am dram if they’d take me.

If you find a community theatre group or something at a church you can probably get a part for your first show and help with direction. Give suggestions and things like that. Show them you are interested and know a little about the process. Then maybe you can direct the next show. They always need directors.

You need to be able to go that last mile and do anything possible to squeeze that last cent out of your unsuspecting victim, including lie, cheat, trick, and if all else fails, offer to throw in your wife as a bonus.
Keeping a straight face while doing so is crucial.
Basically you need the ability of smiling while you are talking out of your ass.
Good luck with your choice.

The Holiday Season is here and it is time for the annual Corporate Christmas party. It is always held at the local 4 Star Hotel Ballroom with great music and food. It is a nice affair. Many of the staff does not want to go because they are not friendly with their coworkers and have no one to talk to.

The COO and Human Resources Director informally notice who is not going to the annual Holiday Party and the summer Corporate Picnic. Both of them strongly belive that everyone should go to these events as part of their corporate citizenship. Everyone is told when they are hired that they are part of the corporate family and they need to look at the job as more than a place to go 8-5. Attending corporate events like the Christmas Party is part of that obligation.

Do you think that people should be rewarded at performance appraisal time if they make friends on the job and go to off hours events like the Holiday Party and Company Picnic?

A company requires all people being able to communicate together. If you cannot socialize because you do not get along with people then you are less valuable than someone who has your skills and can work with others.

That having been said you should not be obligated to go to a company gathering on non-business hours.

My company is having theirs on a Saturday night and I really do not want to give them my weekend like that. Best I ever has was a party at noon to the end of the day on a Friday.

when i get older i want to be a movie director. I have a love for the arts and i draw alot. I want to prepare now to be a film director. what can i do?

Start by making short films w/ friends. it’s good experience. if you don’t have a lot of money, make simple plots. in other words, start small. make sure the plot is interesting and grabs people’s attention. put some comedy in it. watch some movies by classic directors and try to figure out why the film was so successful w/ audiences and/or critics.

watch Alfred Hitchcock (North by Northwest), Woody Allen (Annie Hall), Jim Jarmusch (Stranger Than Paradise), Dennis Dugan (Big Daddy, Brain Donors).

also make storyboards for your shots. if you draw a lot, that’s great. watch films w/ great cinematography (The Hudsucker Proxy, Amélie)

good plot + interesting visuals (people, costumes, set, etc. ) = good movie… usually.

good luck

My daughter is 11 and she has very good talent; she can sing and act very good. She wants to have a career in acting and singing, but we don’t know how to get into show business. Some websites say that you have to meet with casting directors in New York and Los Angeles. If I have to, I will if it means my daughter can do what she loves and has a passion for.

On radio stations for big cities in your state they probably often advertise for casting calls. They usually give a number or a site and the time to be there. You can also just pay attention to local papers and such to look for chances closer to you!
I believe it’s great that you want to help your daughter pursue this. I wanted to be an actress since a young age but my parents never helped me with that. It’s great that you listen to your daughter and support her
