From a young age, Ryan has always been fascinated with television, whether he was recording opening monologues before his fathers taped sporting matches or creating sketches with his friends for home movies.
Ryan’s television career began with work experience at Channel Seven Sydney in 2001 and 2002, working on Australia’s highest rating current affairs show, Today Tonight.
After his first gig writing, producing and acting in a local TV commercial as a 17 year-old, Ryan began pursuing a career as a host. He has completed training in radio and television presenting at the Sydney Academy of Film and Television and the Queensland School of Film and Television in Brisbane.
In 2008, Ryan’s Chocolate Espresso Tour segment was aired on Foxtel Australia’s Aurora channel, marking his first national TV appearance. Since then, Ryan has appeared on MTV Canada, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s drama, Being Erica, and as host of fab magazine’s online video channel, fabTV.
Ryan’s fabTV episodes have had in excess of 28,000 views, been syndicated with Xtra.ca and have been featured on numerous international blogs and news websites.
Ryan is also a writer, having studied scriptwriting, journalism and marketing communications. He has published work in the National Library of Australia, has written for leading industry publications in Sydney and is a regular contributor to fab magazine in Toronto, Canada.
